After spending the last ten years of my life consulting business owners on mergers and acquisitions I’ve changed careers. A big thanks to Mike Carr for his introduction to my new employer, The Arizona Trade Exchange. Let me explain what this all means to you…
I can deliver unique, new, quality and qualified customers to local Phoenix area businesses. I have the most common sense way to build and promote your business I’ve ever seen. You’ll get measurable results, right away; build new and longstanding business relationships with local vendors; meaningfully increase your profit margins on this new business; and penetrate new markets in ways that aren’t available to you right now.
Want proof? Contact me. Here’s an example:
Larry owns a local Mathnasium franchise, an after school center that makes learning math easier and fun for its students. Steven is a prominent local attorney and owns his own law firm.
Steven sends his children to Larry to learn math skills. Steven pays Larry with “trade dollars” he earns by providing legal services to local business owners who pay Steven with trade dollars they earn by providing their services to other local business owners.
Larry uses the trade dollars he earns from Steven to buy janitorial supplies, advertising, carpet cleaning, fire sprinkler and extinguisher service, embroidered staff shirts, and restaurant meals for his business clients and his family.
Larry’s cost to earn a trade dollar is his time; but the services he receives by spending his trade dollars would have cost him cash. Since they didn’t, Larry earned cash profits because he educated Steven’s children on trade.
Steven has another Mathnasium closer to his home; if he would pay cash to enroll his children, it would be at that more convenient location; but because Larry trades, Larry got Steven’s business. Larry also gets students from families that couldn’t or wouldn’t pay his cash tuition; but because Larry trades, students whose parents also trade can afford to send them to Larry’s Mathnasium because they “pay” with their time and services, not their cash. Those same parents also eat at a few high-end restaurants now and then because by trading their time those meals become no more expensive in cash to them than they would pay for a couple delivered pizzas.
In summary:
I can deliver unique, new, quality and qualified customers to you. New because they are not spending with you now, quality because they are local business owners, and qualified because they must have the trade dollars to spend with you in their account before they receive your services.
You’ll get measurable results, right away. I do not add new businesses arbitrarily; my job is to fulfill existing and near-term demand from my existing member owners. That means you’ll begin receiving new business right away when we make your services known to our members.
You’ll build new and longstanding business relationships. Remember, only business owners who provide their services to members on trade can earn trade dollars. They sincerely want to earn your trade dollars and they want to continue providing you their services month after month, year after year.
You’ll meaningfully increase your profit margins on this new business. When your hard cost to earn a trade dollar is pennies on the dollar you in turn purchase things you need for pennies on the dollar – and keep cash. Simply put trade is a way for business owners to leverage their margins on excess capacity to keep cash they otherwise must spend.
You’ll get the best word-of-mouth referrals. Arizona Trade Exchange members are quality people who give quality cash referrals; most in their sphere of influence can’t trade because only a business owner who earns trade by providing their services on trade can spend trade.
You’ll penetrate new markets. Members will travel longer distances to spend trade than to spend cash. You may well find that other trade members would make excellent partners too – for example a restaurant can offer dinner packages that include transportation to and from important sporting and community events by partnering with a trade member transportation services provider; or a granite counter top company can offer grout cleaning and staining as part of a kitchen remodel by partnering with a trade member. Since you’re paying that partner with trade dollars, your cost to offer better service to your cash customer is marginal; but you capture more of your client’s budgeted dollars, provide them real value by discounting the partner’s services, and gain a competitive advantage compared to your competitor who can’t offer discounted value-added services (or doesn’t offer them at all).
I’ll work for you. My job is to stay ahead of the demand curve by adding members who provide the services YOU WANT on trade. We’re rapidly growing so opportunities to provide services that we’ve offered for ten years are now available — but won’t be forever. We “protect” our members so that we don’t add their competition until sufficient demand exists or great distance separates them.
Beneficial trade is as common sense for a business owner as wanting to run as many expenses through his/her business as possible. Proper trade results in your sales going up, your expenses going down (replace cash vendors with trade vendors), and gives you an important advantage over your competitors.
You can spend your trade dollars instead of the cash you are spending now for most anything that is a service, this includes everything from tradesmen and vendors to limo’s and restaurants; from golf and travel to home improvement and even children’s activities. The Arizona Trade Exchange has been in business over 10 years and has over 500 members so we have an impressive variety of goods and services to choose from. Our showroom is open year-round so purchase gifts on trade; you’ll get more for your money when leveraging your buying power. We have a huge trade fair in November too so you can start each New Year with an abundance of hope instead of an abundance of Visa debt!
